I believe theyre huge Puff Balls, edible when young and white, before they begin to change to spore creation and become soft, brown mush in no time. Surrounded by yellowish/clear liquid. Which eventually split open,oozing out. .or, stepped on by human or other animal,spreading spores much more. In certain drier habitats they explode the dry spore powder many inches/coupla feet into air.
