Field Notes

Description:

Galloway is naturally hornless, and instead of horns has a bone knob at the top of its skull called the poll. This breed's shaggy coat has both a thick, woolly undercoat for warmth and stiffer guard hairs that help shed water, making them well adapted to harsher climates.
White Galloway is mostly white, with dark points: ears, feet, and around the eyes. They may also have colour on their poll, tail, or udder. The genetics for this colour pattern were introduced from an unknown source, and has happened at least three times - once each in Britain, the USA, and Canada.

Habitat:

The Galloway is one of the world's longest established breeds of beef cattle, named after the Galloway region of Scotland, where it originated. It is now found in many parts of the world.

lol, Nance :) "panda cow" is a good one :)
Alex,A pet is a household animal kept for companionship and a person's enjoyment, as opposed to wild animals or to livestock, laboratory animals, working animals or sport animals, which are kept for economic or productive reasons.
Panda cow, ha Nice one Lars; pretty farm animal as cows go.
There is a difference though Alex.. This is not Larskorb's personal pet.
Alex - what the hell is your problem? Are you actually seeking for stress or what is it? Any Ranger is free to advise me to recategorize. (and as long as I remember, you are none) And btw, I never claimed to categorize captive animals (zoo) as pets; nor did I for farm animals. Don't start twisting facts on top. And now please, refrain from bothering me any longer with that childish nonsense - thanks.
as long as one has the power and can say OTHERS that : house/farm/zoo- animals are pets, have you no need to categorizes them yourself correctly. This galloway is actually also a pet on a farm!!!!
