Field Notes

Description:

This deeply pitted brown beetle comes from the little desert.
The vibrant green colored pitting sparkles in the sun.

Habitat:

A single specimen feeding on tea tree on a very hot day.

Notes:

Beetle found by Geoff.
Of the seven members of Stigmodera genus, there are five that I have in the gallery. The remaining two are more scarce and very similar to this deep brown species.
