Field Notes

Habitat:

Paddy fields nearby two large rivers. Hot area.

Notes:

These paddy fields in remote Bhutan need constant guard against elephants coming across the River Jaldhaka from Indian side of the river bank. The locals have put up watch towers for that purpose where we'd to spend the night after a hectic Himalayan Mahseer chase (angling!). I ventured into the fields early following morning and took some bug shots to share with my pals.
