Description:
Citrine Wagtails gorgeous birds with dazzling yellow heads.The yellow extends down the rest of the underparts, the upperparts are basically grey with white wing bars. In winter plumage, its yellow underparts may be diluted by white, and the head is brownish with a yellowish supercilium. Females look generally like washed-out versions of males in winter plumage.
It is a ground nester and 4-5 speckled eggs are laid.
Habitat:
It is an insectivorous bird of open country near water, such as wet meadows and bogs.
Notes:
Seen in groups along with white and grey wagtails.
