Field Notes

Description:

Spotted these hiking back from exploring two new caves. Locally the coffee in call Alamid in the Tagalog regions and Motit in the Cordillera regions. Wiki - a species of Coffea originally indigenous to the mountains of Yemen in the Arabian Peninsula, hence its name, and also from the southwestern highlands of Ethiopia and southeastern Sudan. The fruit is a drupe (though commonly called a "berry") 10–15 mm in diameter, maturing bright red to purple and typically contains two seeds (the coffee 'bean'). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coffea_arabica

Habitat:

An area planted with Coffea arabica.

I agree SeemaPatel... and I wonder what compelled the discoverer of this exotic coffee blend to even use defecated beans? hmmm?
fascinating... I wonder how strange food habits do people have...
Interesting spotting - but you can keep the coffee :).
Posted my first non-cave related spotting because of the recent discussion on the General Chat about these.
