Field Notes

Description:

Orang and spongy on top, with white toothy tendrils hanging down. Growing on cut pine log. Looks like a cross between lions mane and bear tooth

Habitat:

Pine region, high altitude of northern idaho in late spring early summer

Notes:

Feels spongy on top, no significant odor, Not edible to humans
