Field Notes

Description:

Brown and black Sparrow with gray face with brown stripe across the eye and on top of head. There's a black patch on breast and under each eye on neck. Legs and feet are copper colored.

Habitat:

Willow bush near Lake Hodges

We have both the Song and Savannah Sparrows here and I can never distinguish between the two :)

Cindy,that black patch on the chest is a distinguishing characteristic. I will have to look it up.
