Field Notes

Habitat:

Seen on (and in) the sandy banks of river Zambezi, Namibian side. According to our guide, these holes, Pic No 5)are made by the White-fronted Bee-eater; but are overtaken by Carmine Bee-eater, by force, when they are in the region.

Notes:

We learnt that the Carmine Bee-eater, at this time of the season already gone to Mozambique to nest.
