Field Notes

Description:

A slender stem growing tall among the grass on mountain a top. The flower resembles a snake's (cobra's) hood. The white petal is shaped like the snake's hood and the single yellow stamen can be seen if you see the flower from its under side.
The stem or stalk of the flower is less than a foot tall. The flower is around 5 to 7 cm.

Habitat:

Seen at onset of rainy season on a mountain top.
