Fantastic surviver this plant and you are an enciclopedia in botanical matters:)Thanks again for all the precious infos
They have been cultivated and cross bred so long it can be hard to get an exact ID. They are such hardy and beautiful plants. My grandmother will clean out her garden and will throw scraps into the back property and the Irises always end up growing on top of all that. They are the only scrap that becomes a flower again. I have taken the scraps from the backyard back to my garden and grown great plants from them.
Thanks Apple for one more id,i agreed whith you,it's a bearded variety
See the following: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iris_%28plant%29 It is likely of the bearded variety
This is some type of Iris.
