Description:

The Blenniidae (blennies) family are a group of teleost fish that are mainly characterized by the absence of scales, laterally flattened and elongated body, flat head, well marked sexual dimorphism.
They live in the marine benthos because adults lack a swim bladder.The male has a yellow crest in mating season.<br> <br>
A la familia Blenniidae (Blenidos) pertenecen un grupo de peces teleósteos que se caracterizan principalmente por la ausencia de escamas, cuerpo aplastado y alargado lateralmente, cabeza achatada y diformismo sexual bien marcado.
Suelen vivir en el bentos marina ya que los adultos carecen de vejiga natatoria. El macho tiene una cresta amarilla en época de celo.

Habitat:

Aguas someras de la laguna del Mar Menor (Murcia).
