I agree with Alice. I am not too fond of them either. I see them everyday in the Summer. They can make one nuts, especially if you have a Garden and Fruit trees...and the noise they make isn't pleasant either. No Song Bird here. lol. Starlings have always looked very Black to me. Thank you for sharing your photo. It's exceptional! I will now be taking a closer look @ those Starlings!

The ABA calls Sturnus vulgaris the European Starling, but either name is acceptable.
