Field Notes

Description:

The Indian Robin is sexually dimorphic in plumage with the main being mainly black with a white shoulder patch or stripe whose visible extent can vary with posture. The northern populations have the upper plumage brownish while the southern populations are black above. The males have chestnut undertail coverts and these are visible as the bird usually holds the 6–8 cm long tail raised upright. The females are brownish above, have no white shoulder stripe and are greyish below with the vent a paler shade of chestnut than the males. Birds of the northern populations are larger than those from southern India or Sri Lanka. Juvenile birds are much like females but the throat is mottled.

Notes:

Due to shadow of tree can't get nice picture,

Super shot of the Male Indian Robin in the first pic, Sachin.
Sachin you have to change tile of ID... Brown Stone chat and Female Indian Robin... what we see in first picture at left side isn't Male of Indian Robin.
Yes Emma, there are nice trees at that Garden neem tree, banana tree, Pink Silk Tree http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/9353722, Sugar-apple tree http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/9348791 and many more, and many birds over there,
nice. is it sitting on a neem tree? next to a banana tree?
Nice observation Liam..!!
I think you may be right with female Indian Robin. The rufous cheek-patch is often visible, and you can see the top of the eyering (the white above the eye). It's an odd stance for Indian Robin, though. They like to perch with their tail upright, like the male in photo 1. She must have been tired. ;)
Here 2 different species... Brown Rock chat and Indian Robin.
@Liam & Ashish added 1st pic, I get one more picture from my this one series, and find this bird along with Indian Robin, and I think it may be Female Indian Robin with male please give your opinion with reference to http://www.indianaturewatch.net/displayimage.php?id=130688 in female can see white line above her eyes,
