One of the coolest insects I've spotted in Gunung Merapi national park.

So glad you could narrow it down to a species, Scott! These are even difficult in NA!
This is a tumbling flower beetle aka pintail beetle, Family Mordellidae.
Amazing find! This is a rolling flower beetle (Mordellidae), named for their behavior to quickly roll off the plant they are on (often in or around a flower). They are also present where we live in North America, but they are much less colorful!
