Field Notes

Description:

A 'Little Egret', which is not something I have seen in recent years, so nice to spot one close to the road I take through the pastures and waterways and lakes to work.

Habitat:

It is same family as Heron, so not sure what really makes this an Egret. It lives and hunts near/in canals and lakes, and marshes are favorite habitat.
