Ampelopsis arborea
34.7465, -92.2896
Field Notes
Description:
The berries begin very pale, turn rose, then fuchsia, and finally glossy black. They are edible, but not very tasty. Gorgeous, fast-climbing foliage. The leaves at the growing end of the tendrils blush pink & red, then mature into green & bluish-green. Leaves branch off in groups of 3, somteimes resembling poison ivy.
Notes:
It's classified as a weed, but I think it's such a beautiful plant.
