Description:

This subgenus, and Neocalliphora, comprise all the Tasmanian golden blowfly species - ie largish blowfies with golden abdomen and legs. In Paracalliphora the eyes are never haired and the presutural acrostichal bristle pairs usually number 2 (in the following subgenus all species have 3 presutural acrostichal pairs).

Habitat:

Local reserve, bushland.
