Description:
In the White Oak Group. The leaves have a very distinctive shape, with three perpendicular terminal lobes. The acorns are 1.5–2 cm long
Acorns only take 1 year to form and drop unlike red oaks which require two years.
Light grey bark, divided into long narrow strips
Tree shape: spreading, great many limbs emanating from top of a short trunk. Leaves are lobed.
