Field Notes

Description:

Likely the same species as the previous spotting, perhaps an older specimen. Grayish, firm, dry cap. Short grayish-brown stem. Dark yellow gills that produce white latex when damaged.

Habitat:

Temperate forest. Connetquot River State Park, New York.
