Field Notes

Description:

Weevil/grub 1"-1.5" in length.

Notes:

A local pulled up on his motorbike where I was taking photos of the Shrike in a previous spotting. These were in his bucket .. I Think these are Red palm weevil - Rhynchophorus ferrugineus, but would like confirmation if possible please. The Thai's eat these ... the man told me they were delicious ... I told him I had sadly just finished my lunch so could'nt be tempted!!
