Field Notes

Description:

Tall, thin, bark is light in colour, appears to be an ornamental looking tree. Leaves are a burnt yellowish hue.

Habitat:

Found at the south end of the botanic garden wetlands at Olds College bordering pond 3. It was planted along a pathway with several other flowering crabapples.

Notes:

The bark on the tree was far more peeled back than the surrounding trees of the same species.
