Description:
Caps were to about 12cm across and the same in height. A few were clustered, growing from fused bases and one had an 'offshoot' mushroom (first photo). One had a vague smell similar to catarrh otherwise no distinctive smell or taste to the mushroom. Growing in mixed woodland, the nearest tree other than a birch sappling was sweet chestnut I think. Growing under bracken (again not 100% sure my memory is correct). They were all already disturbed/uprooted. Spotted Toughshank Collybia maculaa is similar except not usually this pure white. Here's someone elses similar spotting; http://www.ispotnature.org/node/447658 and another similar-ish one; http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/14127292
