Field Notes

Description:

Dark grey plumage on back and wings.A small amount of white around eye, white breast and rust coloured belly. Beak and long legs sage green in colour.

Habitat:

Flew into the house and got itself wedged between the metal security grille and insect screen in the lounge. I've not seen them in this area although the river is only 100yds away, so I would think perhaps it had been startled. It certainly flew in through the front door at speed!!

Notes:

Released back down by the river
