Field Notes

Description:

Stink bug, dark brown with 2 white spots below scutellum (shield-like structure on thorax), head is striped with three tan stripes, two side ones go from the head to the pronotum (large plate before scutellum), middle is longer than the other two and reaches the scutellum, underside is dark, sides of abdomen have a sort of fringe that is striped red and black (I think it's called a connexivum?)

Habitat:

Found in meadow-ish area outside of Bowling Green State University, Wood County, Ohio. Caught using a sweep net, unsure what plant it was on

Notes:

I've tried looking it up online, in various entomology/insect field guide books, and my Entomology Professor doesn't know what it is either, please help?
