Description:

It is a popular pond plant that also make a good indoor aquarium plant. It has attractive thick, green leaves and trailing, elegant roots, which are good for set-ups with fry. Largest leaves individual is about 12-14 centimeter. No matter how much light they receive, the flower are inconspicuous, but peer straight down into the middle of the plant, you can just see them. Reproduction is from runners, called stolons, which the plant throws out regularly.

Habitat:

An aquatic weed world wide in rivers, lakes and ponds of temperate climate
Temperature tolerance : water lettuce is not winter-hardy; it's minimum growth temperature is 15degree celsius, its optimum growth temperature is 22-30 degree celsius; its maximum growth temperature is 35 degree Celsius
