I see that this has yet to be IDd. I came back for maybe a little help with my spotting that seemed similar. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/392626019
So, Bayucca, do you still think there are too many ??s in the spot's notes? :-)
The longer I look at it, the more I tend to think it might not even be a caterpillar, but any other larva of any other crazy thing...
This may not be much more helpful than the wax cola candy but it is more similar to your curious spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/5687488
ok, this is no help with your ID but it reminds me of a kind of candy that some of my friends liked when I was a child; it was like a little bottle made of wax with some flavor inside...wierd, the associations that the mind makes sometimes.
Bayucca, the number of ???s is equal to the number of possibilities that crossed my mind. Egg? Larva? Egg case? Worm? An alien invader that fell on Earth? Remember, I am just an amateur with a fertile imagination! :-)
Yes, a little bit too much ???, even for me ;-)... At first sight I would have thought of a very young instar of Heraclides sp., but I would not sign that... Keith for sure would any IDea.
Ok, Seto, I will. Thank you (flies are one thing we have plenty of here...)
Try looking up local fly larvae-it looks like it might be that.
