Black-billed Magpie

The Pica Hudsonia is commonly known as the black-billed magpie. There are other types of magpies out there like the Sri Lanka Blue Magpie which has blue wings with a tint of orange and white along with a red bill. The black billed magpie has blue colored wings with a white chest. An adult Magpie's size may vary up to 45-60 cm {18-24 in}. Treepies are similar to magpies and are both from the Corvidae family. Magpies have a symbiotic relationship with deers. I think the type of relationship they have is commensalism. Because the magpies dined on the ticks that lives on the deer's skin and the deer is not harmed in this relationship. The type of reproduction this species use is sexual because it takes a male and female to do it. A female may lay up to 13 eggs and the male feeds the female throughout incubation. How they reproduce is, the male flashes his wings and flares his tail at the female. the female calls loudly during their fertile period.
