The top was about 6 inches across, and it was at least that tall.
Marginate gills, thin pileus.. mycena maybe. Size?
It's pretty mind boggling isn't it? I thought it was an Amanita at first glance, but it doesn't have that tell-tale ring around the stem. I'm at a loss lol.
It amazes me how the caps can evert to such an extent without damaging the gills. Interesting spotting !
