Field Notes

Description:

A small weevil about 5 mm long with a dark gnarly humped body. Pale patches were seen along the lateral margins of the pronotum and base of elytra. A single white speck was seen near the apex of each elytron. <br>
Snout was straight and slightly downward pointing. antennae were elbowed.

Habitat:

Spotted on sword grass (Gahnia) in a nature reserve.

Notes:

There are many such weevils in this reserve. I may never find an ID for this one but will keep looking. <br>
