Description:

Somewhat bushy annual. Oblanceolate leaves, coarsly toothed, slightly hairy. Red and yellow flower heads,1-2in across.

Habitat:

Full sun, in sandy or somewhat clayey soils of prairies, fields, and open woodlands. This plant was on a dry, sunny hillside in clay.,
