Description:

Most common raptor in this area of Maryland.

Habitat:

Lives in an urban area near roads and homes.

Notes:

This individual is quite frequently seen early in the morning feeding in trees right in our front yard. It catches and consumes non-native Norway rats, as can be seen in this photo.
