Description:

Small wildflower with 5 petals, about 3" high with leaves that resemble those of the maidenhair fern.

Habitat:

Radnor Lake state park, Tennessee.

Meadow anemone

Anemone canadensis

Thanks for the ID suggestion greenskydesigns! The flower looks the same as a. canadensis but the leaves are much smaller & more delicate - very much like a maidenhair fern.
