Description:

It is a red alga (the pigment that gives the color is phycobilin) with erect structure and calcified joints. Form carpets colored pink or blanquinosas reaching up to 15 centimeters tall. One of its features is that it has numerous branches that adopt similar forms wings.-------------- Es una alga roja (el pigmento que le da este color es la ficobilina) con estructura erecta, calcificada y con articulaciones. Forma alfombras de color rosado o blanquinosas que llegan hasta los 15 centímetros de altura. Una de sus características es que presenta abundantes ramificaciones que adoptan formas similares a alas.

Habitat:

Costa rocosa a orillas del Mar Mediterráneo.
