Field Notes

Description:

Small all-black beetle with setae exposed around elytra. Disproportionate head and thorax are much larger than the wing covers. Some strange leg angles also... dung roller? About 10mm long. Played 'dead' for a while when turned onto it's back.

Habitat:

Digging into earth in outer suburban back yard.
