Description:

This anemone is red, often very intense, which has earned him the nickname marine tomato for their physical appearance when closed. It can reach between 4 and 7 cm in diameter and 8 cm high.

It has between 124 and 192 short tentacles, widened at the base, with rounded tips and forming six circles. These tentacles can not retract at all, but are blocked when the animal contracts to protect or rest. The foot allows you to scroll.-------------------------------------------------------------- Esta anémona es de color rojo, a menudo muy intenso, lo que le ha valido el sobrenombre de tomate marino por su aspecto físico cuando está cerrada. Puede alcanzar entre 4 y 7 cm de diámetro y 8 cm de altura.

Tiene entre 124 y 192 tentáculos cortos, ensanchados en la base, con las puntas redondeadas y formando 6 círculos. Estos tentáculos no pueden retraerse del todo, aunque quedan tapados cuando el animal se contrae para protegerse o descansar. El pie le permite desplazarse.

Habitat:

Costa rocosa a orillas del Mar Mediterráneo. Faro de La Manga.
