Field Notes

Description:

A unique songbird. Males are all shiny black with red eyes and females a gray with light brown eyes. Both have long tails and tall crests. Song is a mix of whistles and wheps. Feeds on berries, insects.

Habitat:

These can breed two times a year with one in the desert and then in the woodlands.
