Description:

Beautiful wading bird with pink plumage and a long, flat, spoon shaped bill. The bird gets it's color from the food it eats. With it's bill partially submerged, it swings it head back & forth in a sideways motion to catch it's prey!

Habitat:

Marshes, swamps, ponds and rivers.

Notes:

Sorry for the quality of the photo's...the bird was so far away but I thought it was beautiful!!
