Field Notes

Description:

This white pincer bug has a tiny section under its abdomen near the pincers that's somewhat dark but it may be because this one is so translucent looking (last image). It's apparently recently emerged from its skin and has yet to darken.

Habitat:

Railroad tie with dozens of "normal" colored one's in backyard.

That's not Leucistic it just shed it's skin and will darken in a few hours. Many insects do this.
