Field Notes

Description:

Tiny bee, about 7 mm long (the flower in which observed has about 1 cm diameter). Methallic green, rapid movements except when working on the flower. Fly during the hottest hours on noon. Likes small herbs, seldomly seen on my lemon tree, altough its plenty with other bees when blosom.

Habitat:

I have seen on my backyard, on sunny patches, I saw it in the dry forest in open ares were herbs with small white, yellow or purple flowers offer their reward.

Notes:

Ya se marchitaron las flores, ya no veo halictidos.
