Field Notes

Description:

This was taken off a boardwalk inside a smaller water reclamation area. It simulates everglades wetland habitat where there are alligators, marsh rabbits, coastal birds, and birds of prey that make this their home. The female Red-winged blackbird looks more like a sparrow, brown in coloring.

Great series Tanya! The first photo doesn't seem to be showing though so please could you reload it? Thanks!
The nest is very interesting. It looks like they tie pretty large reeds around a stem. Nice series
