Field Notes

Notes:

It obviously appears to be a Rose but this photo was taken in the countryside. How common is it to come across a wild rose??

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

In Connemara (and across Ireland) - quite common. There are a number of cultivars that can naturalize fairly easily. And some hedge roses that used to be used as pasture separations have gone "wild" when the pasture is no longer used.
