Dear @Beth, you 'v' seen a beautiful flower wich is actually a Greek endemic, and although I live in Greece, I haven't seen it yet! The funny thing is that almost everyone I know in my area, came across that flower species, and I start to believe that the flower is hiding from me, for some reason!
And also in red color, my spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/159126049
Dear @BethAngermeier, this is a Grecian windflower, a Greek /Eastern Mediterranean wildflower, wich is cultivated widely for its bluish purple flowers...It's not a Pavonina anemone: http://tagtonsphotography.blogspot.gr/2012/03/anemone-pavonina.html
