Field Notes

Description:

Very broad body and head with highly branched skin flaps on head and chin. First dorsal fin slightly larger than second.Tan or light grey with complex mottling and reticulated pattern of narrow dark lines and dark spots. Reaches 360 cm but most around 150 cm.

Habitat:

Found in northern Australia and New Guinea.

Notes:

Found at Hardy reef in a small channel between to bombies around 12:30 am.
