Description:

The small plant is growing out of bulbs. With its yellow inflorescence it is one of the earliest spring flowers.

Habitat:

Native in southern Europe's woodlands. In Europe it is a popular garden plant.

Notes:

The flowers close in bad weather and at night-time. They bloom about one week and during this time the petals are growing.
