Mating black predatory flies with a long, sharp piercing mouthpart which give it its namesake.

Unknown bush in backyard

I believe it's calcium or chlorine deposits from the sprinklers. We have some pretty harsh water here and it leaves white stuff on the leaves. This bush is next to a sprinkler.
I have to ask on the edge of the leafs are like very small white drops are this water drops?
