Field Notes

Description:

Funnel-shaped orange flowers, three inches long with the five petal lobes out-turned at the ends of finger-sized tubes. A species of flowering plant (deciduous woody vine) of the family Bignoniaceae.

Habitat:

Spotted at Garvan Woodland Gardens.

Notes:

Native to the eastern United States and naturalized in parts of the western United States as well as in Ontario, parts of Europe, and scattered locations in Latin America
