Field Notes

Description:

An Australian shrub, can grow to around 2m, multiple stems, narrow almost spiky leaves, red/pink/orange flowerheads consisting of smaller individual tube shaped flowers, hard fruit capsule resembles devil head with horns.

Habitat:

Found most commonly in open forest and heathland, mostly limited to NSW.
