Field Notes

Description:

This stink bug is a pest to fruit-bearing trees and plants. They poke a hole through the skin of the fruit and suck out the juices. Stink bugs are able to camouflage themselves easily because of their brown color. These bugs produce a foul odor if threatened, disturbed or touched.

Habitat:

The stink bug is originally from Asia but was accidentally imported to the United States.
