Field Notes

Description:

Never really saw the "entire"crab as it was hidden inside its port-a -cabin borrowed mollusc shell.

Habitat:

The beach and branches of the overhanging mangrove vegetation were alive with these crabs...all with their own, unique borrowed empty shells. On Havelock Island.

Notes:

When I turned the shell over to photograph part of the hermit crab's body, it just as quickly flipped it over an scurried off.
